Lima Old City - Plaza Mayor and surrounds.

A free afternoon and we went back to the colonial center of the city

Lima Municipalidad (Town Hall)
See the slums on the hillside as seen from an adjoining street to the main city square
Now the security guards closed the doors for this photo, courtesy of Susan who just asked them...
Flowers in Plaza Mayor

A short stroll and another colonial church

This guy looked so cool and doesn't spit
Palacio Arzobispal constructed in 1924 with Moorish-style carved balconies is home to the archbishop of Lima

The detail and workmanship in most buildings is exquisite

Later that evening a short stroll from the hotel in San Isidro and the Huaca is illuminated by night.

Di, Susan and Peter at the floodlit ruins.
