Flying - The Tyranny of Distance (Apologies to Geoffrey Blainey)

Australia is a long way from other continents yet as a nation we love to travel.

That's why when most Australians travel - we try to do as much as possible whilst away in order to spread the high cost of the airfare across the holiday or time away.

So we fly start out flying to Lima via Santiago; and have the longest Saturday ... 24 +15 hours  or a 39 hour Saturday. Let's hope we get some sleep on the flight!
